João Lemos

João Lemos has completed his MSc in European Film Studies at the University of Edinburgh. He has directed three short films which have been screened widely at festivals around the world. He read French and Portuguese at the University of São Paulo, English at the University of Westminster (London), and has a degree in Film and Communication from Faap (São Paulo). His research and ideas on the Scottish director Bill Douglas have been published in "Beyond the Anchoring Grounds: More Cross-Currents in Irish and Scottish Studies" (Belfast: Cló Ollscoil na Banríona / Queen’s University Belfast Press, 2005).
